Yay! I don't believe I'm posting about this only now but RUSSIAN BALLET GALA WAS SUPER COOL!!
First off I waited for Nadia to finish her OBS medical checkup and we changed before going to the esplanade and I felt super overdressed (literally) in my blue dress and barely-made-me-any-taller heels :( Nadia was in this really really pretty top and cool jeans which slide to one side :)
And and at Mrs. Fields (we had sandwiches for dinner) guess who walked past? Ms. Leow! In a black blazer and a striped polo tee. And then 15 minutes later we saw Wenying & mom :D like standing the hall of fame. It's so cool to meet people you know out of the blue. But it was super unfair :( Me and Nadia and Jaime got the last row of circle 3, 3 seat from the side!!! (But the esplanade is super cool we still got an awesome unblocked view :) Because their seats are like super steep. Your feet are at the front person's head.) And Wenying got a stall seat :( And I bet Ms. Leow got a really good seat too :( Oh well it was super fun! And Jaime got lost and kept on calling and then she appeared in this prittayy lbd (long black dress) and Nadia and me think she looked like a poor little rich girl :) Only too bad we didn't take pictures :( Such a pity.
The dancing was really pretty too but so disappointing THEY DIDN'T DO GISELLE! But I liked Flames of Paris and I didn't realise because I'm not some crazy fanatic who watches and re-watches the ballets on youtube but according to sources she cheated on the fouettes and cut them short :( but they were cool nonetheless! And I've discovered my new profession in the line of a clap-inducer :) I started applause 3 times in the show! WOOHOO! And I did it again today at dance :D I wonder if anyone out there will pay for such a talent...
But they're tutus were GORGEOUS!!! Ahhhh!!! I want to be in a leotard+tutu like that at least once they were so cool and pretty it's not fair :( And oh my gosh they ultra-hyperextended legs and crazy arches D: D: D:
